TLC Dental

Who are we

TLC Dental is a reputable dental practice in Western Australia that was founded in 1989 by Dr. Ian McCarrey and Dr. Charles Love.

Both Ian and Charles graduated from UWA Dental School in 1983 and gained experience by practicing for a year in a government clinic. After that, Ian went to London and worked there for four years while Charles travelled extensively throughout Africa before returning to practice in a government clinic.

In 1989, Ian and Charles opened the first TLC Dental in Mandurah North, followed by another branch in Winthrop in 1991. Over time, they were joined by more dental professionals, including Dr. Simeon Hunter in 1993, Dr. Diana Zalanowski in 2001, and most recently, Dr. Stacey Strangio.

Today, TLC Dental is renowned for providing exceptional dental care in a friendly and welcoming environment. With their team of experienced dental professionals, they have become one of the leading dental practices in Western Australia, offering high-quality services to their patients. TLC Dental’s long-standing history of providing outstanding care has earned them a well-deserved reputation as a trusted and respected dental practice in the region.

Dear Ellen, after years of panic attacks and terrible dental experiences I am grateful to say thank you for such a trouble free visit. It was so easy and although you were gentle and never put me into severe pain at all, I know you did a thorough job. I thought it was impossible!!! Thank you again.
This is the best dental practice I have been to. They really care about their patients and set the bar high for all other dental practices. Thank you Charlie and team for my continued care over the past 20 years….. Brilliant… Highly recommend
They got me back in the chair …. and the care and attention will get me back again and again .. Thank you to everyone
I love this practice! They are so personable – even though my children don’t need to go very often the dentists and administration remember my children and make sure their experience of going to the dentist is a very positive one.
Dr. Christina Ryan is the most talented dentist I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. Went in for a sore tooth which was quickly diagnosed, my old filling fixed (previous dentist’s questionable work), and she even took the time to resolve some other issues that were noted (which previous dentists had ignored). Everything was performed as quickly and painlessly as I’ve ever experienced, and she even did a cleaning while we waited for the anesthesia to set in.
I had two wisdom teeth taken out by Dr Anchalee and an amazing nurse, The teeth were causing me some issues and a bit of pain. That Dr was fan-bloody-tastic without a doubt best dentist I have ever been to, they were very caring and I didn’t feel a thing if you are worried or afraid of dentists I would make sure you go and see them I can not stress how amazing they were.
